Michael Wert (Coal Township, PA) is or defending champ in this event, and after having hearing much about him since his win in May, he's continuing his solid run good in this room. If you remember from a post earlier, Wert was the player who busted Joe Palma (Bensalem, PA) in one out fashion (hitting a case five on the river to win after Palma hit the case queen on the turn take a stranglehold on the hand). Wert was utilizing his run good again as he got all his chips in on a flop of 9♦ 7♣ 5♥. Wert's opponent tabled A♣ A♠, with Michael showing 2♣ 7♦. The 3 on the turn was no help to Wert, but after spiking a duece on the river, his opponent would leave the clubhouse room in brisk fashion. Michael is now up to 130,000, and with approximately 120 players remaining in the room, sits above the chip average.
