Pete Malkoun came into the day one of the chip leaders, but is now exiting the tournament area. On a board of K J 2 6 J, Thomas Paul (Jupiter, FL) was all-in and had Malkoun covered. Malkoun was a little chatty on the river, asking Thomas if he possibly had a jack (Paul had checked the flop). With over 600,000 in the pot already, Malkoun said he just didn't think he could lay it down. He did end up making the call eventually and Paul flipped over K J, while Malkoun tabled A A and pushed the rest of his chips Paul's way.
Thomas is now over 1,100,000, and has taken the chip lead.
