Joe Taormina has assumed the chip lead, and his table mates are needling him about his recent run good. After finding out who he was, we walked by a hand where he had called Michael Wert's all-in pre. It was the A K of Wert against the A♠ Q♠ of Taormina. After the flop of K♠ 9♥ 6♦ things were looking pretty bleak for Taormina. But the 10♠ on the turn gave him a ton of outs, and he would make his flush on the river, eliminating the defending champ. Taormina is now up over 320,000 (285 big blinds).
