Big Stax 300: Preview

Big Stax 300 - $300 + 30 NL Hold'em (Re-Entry) $150,000 Guarantee

The 2013 WSOP is in the books (with the exception of the Main Event final table), which draws a close to the 2012-13 calendar poker year.  The community watched as numerous Parx regulars saw great success during the WSOP, with a handful coming excruciatingly close to a bracelet.

Tomorrow at 11:00am begins the Big Stax III, which is one of the first major series in the 2013-14 year.  The $330 buy-in event has been the most popular trophy event since the "Big Stax" concept was introduced.  The affordable entry attracts both tournament grinders, professionals, and amateurs alike, and always carries that big tournament feel.  It will be the first time that many of the circuit players see each other since returning home from Las Vegas and the WSOP, and we expect to see all the notables over the three starting days.  The structure stays the same, with a 30,000 starting stack and blind levels of 45 minutes on Day 1 (increasing to 90 minutes on Day 2/3).  Everything in regards to the Big Stax 300 can be found by clicking on the structure sheet.

As we preview tomorrow's event, let's take a look back at the history (although brief) of this tournament:
